Data transfer

Don’t forget, to use WidSets you must have a data transfer agreement in place with your mobile service provider. If you have ever received a picture message or accessed a WAP site, then you already have this in place. WidSets is free of charge but your mobile service provider might charge you for the data transfer.

The WidSets service is completely free of charge. That is, signing up to the web service is free, just as the mobile application that you can download to your phone and the widgets you will find in the Library are free.

However, keep in mind that your mobile service provider may be charging you for the data traffic generated by WidSets and the widgets you use. So, unless you have a data plan with unlimited data traffic for a fixed price, you will have to pay for the data traffic generated by WidSets.

To make life a little easier for you, we have developed a tool that helps you monitor this traffic. One useful feature of the data monitor is the alert service, which notifies you when your data exceeds a set level – no nasty phone bill surprises!
